"I'm so hungry!" Rabbit Three mumbled.
"Me too," Rabbit Two chimed in.
"I'm even hungrier!" the tall Rabbit One also shouted.
"We don't have a single carrot left. We have to go to the vegetable patch and pull some back," the smallest little rabbit reminded everyone.
"I'll go," said Rabbit Three, jumping up first and heading for the vegetable patch.
When he reached the field, he pulled out a big, fresh carrot with all his might.
Just as he was about to put it into his bag, suddenly, a tall, large bad rabbit jumped out.
"You can't take this carrot," the big bad rabbit snarled loudly.
"Why not?" Rabbit Three asked timidly.
"Because, because you're a big dummy!" the bullying big bad rabbit roared. "And if you dare tell anyone I stole your carrot, I'll squash you flat!"
Poor Rabbit Three had no choice but to return home empty-handed.
"Why didn't you bring back even one carrot?" his rabbit siblings asked, disappointed.
"Because... because I'm a dummy," Rabbit Three said sadly.
"No, you're not dumb at all. Who said you were a dummy?"
Rabbit Three lowered his head and wouldn't answer.
"Don't worry!" Rabbit Two comforted everyone. "I'll go get the carrots for you."
Saying this, he hopped off.
Rabbit Two pulled and pulled, and finally managed to pull out two juicy, delicious big carrots.
But just then, the big bad rabbit jumped out again. He pushed Rabbit Two down and rudely snatched the carrots. "You can't take these carrots!" he shouted in a commanding tone.
"Why?" Rabbit Two panted, getting up from the ground.
"Because, because you're an ugly, ugly monster! And if you dare tell anyone I stole your carrots, I'll squash you flat!"
"Why didn't you bring back any carrots?" the rabbit siblings asked, surprised to see Rabbit Two return empty-handed.
"Because... because I'm an ugly monster," Rabbit Two whispered.
"You're not ugly at all. Who said you were an ugly monster?" the rabbits asked.
Rabbit Two lowered his head and wouldn't speak.
"It's okay," said the tallest Rabbit One, thumping his chest. "Let me go get the carrots."
So Rabbit One set off on his scooter.
Rabbit One pulled hard in the field for a long time, and finally pulled out three fresh, delicious carrots.
Suddenly, the bullying big bad rabbit jumped out again.
"You can't take these carrots!" he shouted loudly.
"Why?" Rabbit One stammered in fear.
"Because you're a big fatso who can't even walk straight! And if you dare tell anyone I stole your carrots, I'll squash you flat!"
Poor Rabbit One returned home sadly.
"Why didn't you bring back any carrots?" the smallest little rabbit sister asked.
"Because... because I'm a big fatso who can't walk straight," Rabbit One whispered.
"No, you're not! Who said that?" the little rabbit asked indignantly.
But Rabbit One wouldn't answer.
"This is ridiculous!" the little rabbit stamped his foot in anger. "Big brother, you're not fat; second brother, you're not ugly; and third brother, you're not dumb at all! Tell me, who said these mean things?"
"It was that bullying big bad rabbit," Rabbit One, Rabbit Two, and Rabbit Three said together in hushed voices.
This time, the smallest little rabbit led everyone to the vegetable patch to pull carrots. Rabbit One, Rabbit Two, and Rabbit Three were all very nervous. They frantically pulled carrots while worrying the big bad rabbit might jump out again. Soon, they had filled a whole cart with carrots.
Suddenly, the bullying big bad rabbit jumped out again. "You can't take these carrots!" he shouted.
"Why not?" the little rabbit asked bravely.
"Because you're a tiny little runt—stupid, ugly, fat, and can't even walk straight!" the bullying big bad rabbit yelled.
"That's not true," said the little rabbit, pointing at the big bad rabbit. "You're the one who's stupid, ugly, fat, and can't walk straight!"
"I'm not!" the bullying big bad rabbit cried angrily. "Give me those carrots right now! Hurry, hurry!"
Rabbit One, Rabbit Two, and Rabbit Three found their courage too, and joined the little rabbit in shouting, "No way!"
The bullying big bad rabbit was shocked and fell to the ground with a thud.
"But... but I'm really, really hungry!" the bullying big bad rabbit actually started to cry. Suddenly, he didn't seem so tall and fearsome anymore.
"Please, please, please give me some carrots! I'm begging you!" he sobbed.
The rabbit siblings agreed.
They pushed the full cart of carrots right at the big bad rabbit, burying him under the pile so he couldn't move!
Look, the big bad rabbit couldn't bully anyone anymore!
